This information is meant for Universitas Hang Tuah students and for general informational purposes only. If you are an Universitas Hang Tuah student and you have further questions about travel information and your visa status, please contact the International Office for consultation with an international student advisor.

Before you come to Indonesia, your government issues you a passport that allows you to leave and re-enter your country. YOUR PASSPORT MUST BE VALID AT ALL TIME.

Before your passport’s expiration date, you must have it revalidated by your country’s nearest Consulate. In order to ensure a timely extension it is wise to apply as far in advance as your home country allows. If you require to interact in person with the Indonesian Citizenship and Immigration Services, you should BRING your passport with you. If you are mailing forms, NEVER mail your passport.

NOTE: Processing times for visas at Indonesia Immigration Office have been unpredictable, with extended Administrative Processing (security check procedures). There is no avenue to expedite applications under Administrative Processing, as the Immigration Office also must wait for all security procedures to be completed before a visa can be issued. Please check the Indonesian Immigration Website for details and have a plan in case your travel plans are delayed due to visa processing times.

REMINDER: If you are travelling to a country other than Indonesia, where you are not a Citizen or Permanent Resident/Immigrant of that country, you must verify if you need a visa to enter that country. Please plan ahead and check the Consulate General website for that country for visa requirements and application procedures. Besides that, please inform our International Office for further notice.

According to the Universitas Hang Tuah regulation, for international students who are applying or extending the validity period of their visas, the University is going to help the administrative procedures. For those students who willing to do it by themselves, contacting our International office is adviced for further failure preventions. For those students who are not being cooperative for this matter will be considered to be inactive students or will be dropped out from the University.
